Seeking to get started on your own small business but don't know where to start? I'm happy to help! This class includes three one-hour virtual sessions each with a separate homework assignment designed to help you demonstrate to potential clients and/or funders that you both have the ability to do business in your chosen area and have defined what success will look like for your business. Class objectives: Session 1: Capabilities * What you do and where you are headed * Review current resume or curriculum vitae * Homework: Drafting a capabilities statement Session 2: Financials * Financial analysis to estimate costs * Determine income needs * Homework: Drafting a startup budget Session 3: Preliminary Business Plan * Preliminary business plan development * Developing strategies to improve likelihood of success * Homework: Drafting your preliminary business plan We will complete your package together over four to six weeks. Virtual sessions are limited to a maximum of seven learners so that I can provide individualized guidance and feedback to each participant on each document by e-mail.
