BIOGRAPHY
For over fifteen years, I’ve been exploring the complex interplay among botany, genomics, ecology, and ethics to understand and envision a future in which we humans appraise all life on our planet at its true, greater-than-monetary, value. From research in the space life sciences, where not even oxygen can be taken for granted, to classes integrating culturally competent lessons on human gender, racial, and religious diversity, my work has balanced my strengths in scientific and statistical thinking with a hard-won understanding that outliers are the ones most likely to fall through the cracks.
